Intern from France at Mankiewicz

Experience various professions and give them a try at Mankiewicz. We regularly welcome young talent who want to get to know the company and the processes associated with paint production in the form of an internship. This was also the case with Marie, a student who came to us from the ITECH Lyon University of Applied Sciences in France and now reflects on her successful internship with us:  

I completed my 2,5 months engineering internship at Mankiewicz Coating Solutions in Hamburg as an intern in the colorimetry department. During my internship, I learned the basics of colorimetry, both the theory as well as the practical work in laboratory. Therefore, I provided support in the elaboration and recreation of color tones. I had also to do some physical adjustments of samples to correspond exactly to the desired color shade.

I am really thankful to my colleagues for integrating me and giving me significant responsibilities on their different projects. And in addition, Hamburg as a fantastic place to work and live and is a city full of energy, very welcoming, with magnificent green spaces where the diversity of sports and cultural activities make it a very pleasant city to live in. The uniqueness of each of its districts makes Hamburg a city full of charm.

After this internship, I am even more motivated to deepen my knowledge in the chemistry domain during my academic years to come. A professional experience that I recommend without hesitation!
